This painting was inspired by my connection to the Earth, the sacred ground and ecological communities from which these earth pigments come. It is a beautiful journey to capture my paint making process in these distillations and transmissions of heart, a heart pumping with the very iron rich blood that also colors the soil.
The original painting was made with hand gathered and processed pigments.
